Electric cars
I am fascinated with Tesla cars—not because I’m an earth-saving environmentalist, but because the cars seem so revolutionary. Remarkable acceleration, and they now fully drive themselves from parking spot to parking spot, multiple times safer than human drivers. Not a day goes by when I’m not thinking about what Tesla will come up with next.
Motorcycles
I absolutely LOVED riding motorcycles. It was therapeutic for me, riding laps around the 215 or hitting up the State and Federal Parks around Las Vegas. In 2022, after logging 150,000+ miles without ever going down, I sold my bike and decided to cash in my chips while I was ahead.
Boating (Lake Mead)
There's no better place around that I'd rather waste a day on than out on Lake Mead. It's so beautiful out there and I'll never get sick of finding new coves to hang out in, or meeting up with other boater friends.
Live music
I LOVE watching live bands any chance I get. My favorite is good ole fashioned Rock n Roll. I always found it hard to find where and when local bands are playing, so I set out to change that. Check out Rock U! (the app) to help decide which band to go see, when, and where.
Pinball
I’ve been passionate about pinball my whole life. Once you purchase your first machine, you’ll instantly be in the market for a second, a third, etc. I’m up to seven machines now. One nice thing about living in Vegas: the Pinball Hall of Fame has over 300 machines on display that you can actually play.
Video poker
Living in Las Vegas can be difficult if you have that gambling bug—so I set out to find the best game in town you can play for extended periods and theoretically not lose money. There are select variations of select video poker games with a return of just OVER 100% when played properly—offered in just one place in the world: right here in Las Vegas.
Stock market
My dad always said “The stock market is nothing more than legalized gambling”—and he was right. Still, I love the thrill of trading stocks, whether on a hunch or buying into a company I love. I do not see a time in my near future where I’ll be shying away from it unless, of course, I run out of money.
